Shade over the bar after a morning on the water or a round of golf. Cover for the grill when the rain comes through. Light to keep the evening going long after sunset.

Shade, rain cover and light over the outdoor kitchen.
A 14′ × 28′ motorized louvered roof, attached to the house and carried on two columns, covering the bar and grill.
Two zones of Flat 6 louvers pivot up to 170°, so you can let the sun in, angle it, or close the roof tight. A rain sensor closes it on its own when the weather turns, and water runs off through the integrated gutters and down the columns instead of onto your guests.

An open patio.
The kitchen, the bar and the pool, with nothing overhead but sun and rain.
02 · Footings & columns
Two 8″ columns.
Engineered isolated footings and custom welded post bases built for South Florida wind loads, with 10′ structural columns on top.
03 · Frame
Beams tie it to the house.
2″ × 10″ structural beams span the columns and attach to the house with a 7″ super gutter.
04 · Louvers
Two zones of Flat 6.
Dual-wall louvers that pivot up to 170°. Open, they stripe the deck with light and let the breeze through.
05 · Close the roof
One tap, full cover.
The X Drive motor closes both zones into a sealed roof, and the rain sensor does it for you when a storm rolls in.
06 · Evening
Lit for the night.
Four recessed warm-white LEDs on the fan beam, plus Sonance outdoor speakers.
07 · Gutter lights
Set the mood.
LED strips hidden in the gutter wash the louvers in color. Available as an upgrade, ask Eric for pricing.
